Needs one more touch with the lettering:

Under MAGNUM FORCE you need tiny letters that read "Dirty and Hairy"

Some pics of the engine in its new home. Tonight, I installed the strut rods and the hood prop. Note to self: next time, install the prop rod onto the hood BEFORE installing the hood. What a pain in the neck! Still have a lot of things to install and connect in the engine compartment. I ripped out the blue spark plug wires, cuz frankly, they just didn't go with the picture. I'm going to order a new set of either red or black wires.

If we're being Nit picky I'd change the fuel fittings as well to black, polished or Nickle. The blue stands out.

I agree, I should have gone with black fittings, but to change now would be expensive and more work. I have enough on my plate to get this rig done by December. I can't keep going backwards. Spark plug wires are a quick and easy change. I appreciate your suggestion, though.

Yesterday, I busted out a quart of Monstaliner, and sprayed the front and rear fender flares, the rock sliders, and even the gas filler door got some Monsta love. The front fender flares, being made of plastic, required an extra step of adhesion promoter.

I installed these beefy hood latches from Rugged Ridge. They are specifically made to fit '07-'12 Wrangler JK. My keen eye and profound sense of proportion ( ) told me that I could make them work on a CJ front end. Badda-bing!! Queue up the dancing banana!

I did some spray priming in the garage, so the Jeep had to go out in the driveway. Snapped a few pics while she was out there. The back end will sit lower when the roll cage, spare tire, and rear bumper with swing-out are installed.

Last weekend, I sprayed 2 coats of high build primer on the cage. This morning, I sanded it smooth with 400 grit paper, and then sprayed two coats of paint.
I'm hoping to install the cage into the Jeep next weekend.

Installed a new wiper motor, and installed the windshield frame....FOR THE LAST TIME!
The glass installer will be here Friday to put the windshield in.

The windshield was installed yesterday, and the roll cage was installed today.
