Man that thing pokes out there a pretty good distance.....any plans for a support bracket of some type....????

Yeah, its sticking out there like a wedding d!ck. If I substituted the hydroboost for a dual diaphragm vacuum booster (which I had planned on using), it would actually be nearly 2" longer. Hydroboost conversions are done all the time on Jeeps, and I've never seen any support added to them.
For parking lots maybe.....but I'd be concerned with flex at the firewall sheet metal with any serious of-road running.....that babies gonna ride stiff

The firewall is made of 18 ga. steel, and the upper right quadrant of it is reinforced with a 16 ga. panel. In addition, the 4 bolts that retain the hydroboost adapter bolt through a large, heavy gauge steel support bracket behind the firewall, which ties into the upper part of the tub, which is the strongest part of the tub.

The Lares remanned power steering/hydroboost pump came in today, and after swapping the pulley, its installed. The application for this pump is a '79-82 Dodge B300 Van with hydroboost. Notice the two return ports. All of the steel hose ends and stainless braided hose for the hydroboost and power steering are on their way. A high pressure-side power steering fluid filter from Tallon is also on its way. As soon as I get the hoses installed, I can FINALLY install the front end sheet metal.... FOR THE FINAL TIME!!!!!

I wasn't feeling energetic tonight. All I did was make and install the high pressure hose, and mount the filter for the hydroboost. Thanks to Nat Wolfe (Streetwize's buddy) for hooking me up with the black anodized aluminum filter bracket! I bought a large cooler for the power steering fluid, but I haven't decided where I'm going to mount it yet, possibly underneath the radiator. I'm hoping to finish up the rest of the power steering/hydroboost hoses by Friday. My goal for this long weekend is to spray the front bumper, rock sliders, front inner fenderwells, and the front fender flares with black Monstaliner.

My goal is to have the full front end installed by Monday. To accomplish that, I have to: 1. Finish making the return hoses for the steering and hydroboost. 2. Spray Monstaliner in the the front wheelwells. 3. Respray (yes, repaint) the front grille. I had discovered an area on the front of the grille where I had missed the final 400 grit sanding, and it has visible sanding scratches. Unacceptable! So, I have to smooth that area flat, scuff the whole thing, and respray it with two coats.
Tonight, I cut off the bulges on the return ports, and installed -6 AN adapters.

In all honesty, I do like the fabricating part, but, I'd like to drive this damn thing before I'm too old to climb into it!!
