I feel your pain. Iv lived in my apt for 3 1/2 years. My mail carrier would leave any package that wouldnt fit in my box at my front door. I must of got a new carrier because now all of a sudden he leaves a failed delivery notice on my door. I then have to call for redelivery at my door. Takes an extra 2 days usually.. Its no wonder they are going broke..

The cut 'n buff on the tub is finished. The panels are not 100% laser straight, but hey, its a Jeep, not a show car, so its good enough.

Today was Monstaliner day. I first sprayed one coat of Dupont Corlar 2.1 ST epoxy primer, followed by 2 spray coats of Monstaliner. This once rusted-out tub has come a loooong way! I can finally check it off as....DONE!!

I had to build a battery tray for my Artec battery box to sit in. I'll finish welding it tomorrow night, and paint it black over the weekend. I'm going to run a Diehard Platinum P2 group 65 battery. Jeep Wranglers normally come with a smaller group 34 battery.

I agree, that's why decided on a Diehard Platinum. They are made by Odyssey for Sears. Same internal AGM construction and performance as an Odyssey battery, except a hundred bucks cheaper.

I can check that off the list. When the body is put back together for the final time, I'm going to make a brace that goes from the bottom of the battery tray to the inner fenderwell, to help support the weight of the 60 lb. battery.

I rebuilt the heater box this weekend. Completely cleaned inside and out, new heater core, new fan motor (PM-102), replaced all of the foam pieces on the damper blades, and given a black Rustoleum rattle can paint job.

I finally got around to notching the rear frame rail, so I could weld in one of the new shock towers. Still need to cut, fit and weld the lower tabs. I'll get to the other side tomorrow.

I've been placing orders for the remainder of the stereo system. The rear speakers came in yesterday. I went with Infinity Reference marine speakers for the front and rear, because since I'll be driving around most of the time topless, they won't get ruined if I get caught in a sudden rain storm.
Fronts are 6-1/2", rears are 6 x 9's. I'm going to build individual speaker enclosures, and coat them in black Monstaliner.

Are you going to get "Jeep" decals for the "Joop" stamping on the side panels?

Also, did you smooth those out, or were they like that already? Lots of later CJ tubs said "Joop" because the dies were wearing down on the "ee" in "Jeep."

It looks great.

Earning every penny of that moderator paycheck.

Thanks. Its a Joop tub. And yes, I added the lettering.
