Thanks Shoozy and jagrunt, and yes I have pitched my idea for a reality show. It's titled "Man vs. Jeep".

I know, I'm such a slacker. I really need to get going on this project!
Thanks, J Body!

Milestone achieved: Jeep is painted!!!
It wouldn't be one of my paint jobs if there weren't a couple drips and orange peel to wet sand and buff out. But that's OK, its done.

Next weekend, the interior gets coated with black Monstaliner.

Well, I thought I was all done shooting red paint. I forgot that the door hinges still needed to be painted. So, I got them done today. NOW, I'm finished with the red paint!
The only thing left to paint is the roll cage. However, I'm undecided on what color to paint it. I can paint it one of three colors: red, black, or Silver Metallic. Black would actually be my third choice, so its really down to the same red or the Silver Metallic.

I didn't mention this yet, but......the gray seats are gone. The direction this Jeep is taking, is to a red and black color combination, both interior and exterior. The gray seats would have looked out of place, so, I sold them. I will be buying another pair of the same brand and style of seats, but they will be red and black. See pic below.

I'm leaning towards the silver as well. I'm thinking of the silver used on the Dodge Vipers. I may buy a pint of it, spray paint a length of tubing, hold it next to the red, and see if they look good together.

Going with a form of black hammertone which can have gray or silver in it might be an option. It would be different that what everyone else has.

My Roadsters Chassis and Cage was Grey Hammer-tone....I really liked the way it looked.

Come to think of it, the centers of my wheels and fender vent screens are bright silver. That's it, I'm going to paint the cage 2009 Dodge Viper Bright Silver Metallic!

Tonight, I finished all of the wet sanding on the tub. I'll get her buffed out tomorrow night.

looking good. one of these days i vow to do the same to my paint. sanding is my least favorite thing to do. buffing, is my 13th least favorite thing to do. can't wait to see it, with the liner sprayed/rolled in.

Yeah, I'm never thrilled with taking sandpaper to a fresh paint job, but the end results are worth it.

Well this just ruined my weekend plans. The gallon of Monstaliner that I bought online was scheduled to be at my house today, but because of some error by UPS, it won't get here until late in the afternoon on Monday. I had planned on spraying it on Sunday. The silver lining in this is, I took a vacation day to get Monday off, so if I can go to the UPS hub early in the morning and pick it up, instead of waiting until the afternoon for it, I can get the job done on Monday.
