You can get a 90 degree coax adapter that will give you a tad more clearance for the CB coax if needed.

I didn't know that. Thanks!

I love the dash layout. .Care if I send mine down to ya.. Question... will the way you have the radio/cb angled "outside" of the dash face be a knee knocker for the passenger?

When you decide to quit, THAT is the moment when you would've succeeded..

In reference to your last question, I'll have to take a look at that, but my gut tells me it won't be an issue for the passenger.

Made some more progress on the dash. I added the ignition switch, headlight switch, turn signal and high beam indicators. Another thing I just finished is fabbing up a glove box door and hinges. It won't be used for storage, it will be used to access the fuse panel.
The plan is to get the dash primed and painted before Thanksgiving.

Fuse panel mocked in place.

Dash and center console panels are ready for one coat of epoxy primer, and two coats of high build primer.

One part not getting primed today is the glove box door. I decided to do away with those little bolts and nuts. Tomorrow I'm going to drop it off at the local welding shop to get it TIG welded together. Once welded, they will remove the fasteners and plug weld the holes.

This is the color the panels and the rest of the Jeep will be. It s a Jeep color called Flame Red. I'm single staging it.

looks good but I am still curious why the single stage instead of B/C C/C.

I'm not building a show Jeep, so I don't care about a mile deep gloss finish. My garage is extremely dusty and dirty, so the fewer coats I need to spray means less opportunity for dust and other foreign matter to fall into the paint while its wet. Single stage paint job is less expensive because I'm not having to shoot 3 coats of clear, so there's less time and effort involved.

The Jeep's dash is finally done. That's a big item I can check off the list.

Not all went well with the painting part. I've got a drip in the back of the glove box door that will need to be cut and buffed out.

Rick, thanks for the comments, man!

Couple pics of the dash and center console installed, for the time being. One of my double 8 footer light fixtures burned out, so the lighting in my garage is not so good.

I didn't like how high I sat with the new seat brackets. My head was a little too close to the top of the roll cage bars. So, I began fabrication of new, shorter seat brackets. They won't have the tumble forward feature like the store bought brackets, but that's OK since I've decided that I won't be installing a back seat. Just as I was starting the finish welding on the first set of seat brackets, my welder kept shutting itself off every time I pulled the trigger. This kept happening repeatedly. This little Miller 130XP is 16 years old with a hell of a lot of wear and tear on it, and having had it in the repair shop a few times, I felt it was time to move on to a new welding machine. I needed a new machine right away, so I bought a Lincoln 180 HD from Home Depot. It's a 220v machine, so its a step up over the 130XP. It should have enough juice to handle anything I need to weld on the Jeep. If I ever need more juice to weld something, I could always borrow my buddy's Miller 210.

It took a day's worth of work, but I finished making the passenger seat brackets. Not the most graceful looking things in the world, but they are battleship tough. I matched the layback angle of the other brackets, and they are 1.5" lower. Not sure yet when I'll put the time in to build the driver's side brackets, maybe this weekend.
