Last night, I sprayed down the entire underside of the tub with Castrol Super Clean. This morning, I sprayed it again about an hour before the pressure washing. While pressure washing the underside, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the undercoating was coming off fairly easily. Excellent!

Very fortunate. I think they started using more enviromently safe i.e. easier to get off than in the old days. Good looking belly by the way.

This weekend, I replaced the very rusty passenger side floor pan. I'm nearing the end of replacing rotted sheet metal on the tub. Just a couple small spots to go.

Nice work.
Is it hard on the sensors to be grinding while still mounted? Matt

Got the headers and pulleys back from the powder coaters. They messed up on the headers. I told them I wanted satin black, and they coated them the typical silver. They gave me the option of waiting a few more days to get them blasted and re-coated, or take them now for $50 less.

Looks great, mine are silver and I love them.

Something to consider though, right now the time and $50 don't really matter, are you gonna have heartburn every time you look at them in the future cause you wanted black?

No, I won't get heartburn, but the $50 savings did matter to me. Any time I can get 1/3 off on something, that makes me happy, so I'm over it. My original vision of this Jeep was for it to have nothing shiny on it, and anything not body color would be black, except the engine, which I've already decided would be Hemi Orange. With my black Duster, I had lots to polish, and hated it.
I've finally decided on the body color. I orginally thought I wanted some kind of copper color, but like many other things, plans have a tendency to change. So, here it is, its a factory '99-'03 Jeep color called Intense Blue. Interior will be some shade(s) of gray.

Dan, nice job getting all of the parts to play nice with each other! I know it wasn't easy getting the head gear sorted out.
As always, thanks for posting the pics!

Dave, no big deal. all in a days work.
here's the block in the F67A square decked and a light cut on the end rails. this is one of the most squared blocks i've seen in a long time. it was only .0035 off of 45 degrees from the cam crankk centerline and less than .007 difference from end to end. you'd be amazed how far off some blocks are.

just in case you ever need to know what the mains were torqued at. we used to stamp them, but not any more.

Now THAT gives the phrase "over the top" a whole new meaning!!!
I'll mention it in my will, so whoever inherits my Jeep will know where to look when their son grows up and finally has to rebuild the engine.

Quincy is near the Ga. border, NW of Tallahassee, right? i would think that's about a 7 hour drive. i have some customers in the Panama City area which i think is just a little further away. when it's too far to drive we just ship stuff.

Yep, 15 miles NW of Tallahassee. I thought about the shipping cost but I guess it would still be cheaper than the gas. Might couple it with a trip to Ocala or Old Town. I'll contact you directly and let the thread stay on topic.

Thanks Dave for the intro to Dan. Sorry for the mini jacking.
