I usually have decent luck bleeding brakes with my cars, but I'm in a spot with this one. 1974 Duster 360 with power brakes and no engine. I'd like to have the brakes as functional as posssible to move the car around. I bought the car with drum brakes on the front, as the previous owner had started to part it out. I swapped over the discs to return the car to the factory arrangement and have had some trouble getting the brakes bled. I had a car years back that failed to start after I replaced calipers. It also had power brakes. I bled them without the engine running. Once it finally started, the pedal sunk to the floor and I had to REbleed them.
Are there ANY tips to bleed the brakes without vacuum? I suppose that if there are none, I could rig up a steel line and a hose to the carburetor of another car and park close, letting the donor supply vacuum to the Duster.....Any ideas?

Gravity bleed. Power or not you should still be able to bleed the brakes with the normal pump the foot method.

yep, you should be able to bleed them either via the gravity method, or just having someone press the pedal while you open the bleeder.

I had awesome results using a pressure bleeder I put together a while back.

Also make sure the bleeder is the highest point on the caliper so all the air can actually get out. (damhik)

If you ever find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck.
