I recall the angle on the face of the intake flange is different on indy heads-vs-B1 heads. It can be made to work, I recall Chuck from Best Machine had a indy intake on his B1 motor.

A sheet metal intake from TRE isn't that expensive, around $1750 last time I looked into it.

I know someone who has an unused weld together Tunnel Ram for a B1, they aren't the prettiest looking things

AL....

***EDIT*** - TRE intakes are now $1995 http://treracingengines.com/

DV8, Yes he is going to put it into the Valiant,... the second Valiant that he purchased. Mark bought a Valiant from another board member here and it was a MAJOR pile of junk. The second Valiant that he bought is REAL nice. It was a former True 10.5 car that was from the northwest. The car is gonna be real sweet with the new B1 in it.

Cool! I remember my cousin saying that first one was junk when he saw it(I have his old '66 Satellite).
Tell Mark I said "HI" & Good Luck!

Hey Steve how you doin? The first Valiant was a mess. I got a great deal on the one I have now. I got it from a guy in Washington. Night and day difference between the two. Hope all is well!

Good.

Upgrading the '66. Going to overhaul/replace a LOT of stuff. Thinking about selling a kidney or becoming a pimp...

That guy who sold you the first Valiant got caught up on here trying to scam another guy about his perfect third generation Cuda, haven't seen him since. If it makes you feel better it was the mention of your deal that saved the guy.

Fortunately I was the only one who got scammed. I ended up selling the Valiant for what it was really worth to a father/son in Arizona. They were pleased and I was out a lot of $$. Let the buyer beware!!

It would be really nice if there was a rating system like ebay on here or a way to track user IP's, cause that same guy just changes his user name or gets a new one and starts all over again on here.

The first Valiant is the silver/gray one you're referring to. The seller misrepresented the car. I took his word for it like a dummy and I bought it sight unseen. It's really my own fault. I lost about $5,000 on the deal once all was said and done. Lesson learned!

Why did you give me a Jesus keychain with the car?...

I am assuming the car these are going in is Brians old car?

BTW love B1's. If I could get anyone to buy the new Hemi in my car I would gladly build a B1....
