My 440-6 build is using stealth heads so no heat crossover as needed for proper divorced choke operation. After some research here and with help of board member 72roadrunnergtx (THX!), I purchased one of these (Airtex 2C1112) for the necessary conversion parts.

Used the spring, spring shaft, heater element, and choke shaft receiver from the Airtex choke to get the proper spacing between the heater element and dielectric spring. Some careful cutting/welding to attach to the repro 440-6 choke cap. Width is tight, so its important to do a mockup to check against the manifold well.

Requires a hole through the 440-6 choke for the heater element connector with the original fitting. The 440-6 choke shaft (to the carb) fits nicely into the Airtex choke shaft receiver with a small hole drilled in the receiver to fit the choke end of the shaft.

Here's a side-by-side comparison to an adjustable 440-6 choke which is dimensionally similar to the non-adjustable choke which comes in the 6pack kits. The modified choke is slightly deeper and of course wider. I had to grind a little out of the intake manifold choke well to fit.

I'm building a control circuit to manage the input to the choke heater element, again thx to 72roadrunnergtx for help. Here is his thread on this topic:
