Your car should already have the correct upper arms for a disc swap. If you check the nut size it's in the 13/16" range for large ball joint.

Find a set from a FMJ model car, they work fine and you'll end up with big bolt pattern. Plus they are less money than the A stuff. I think member 65belvjim may have a set up with prop valve.

Shipping them is easy in 2-3 flat rate USPS boxes, maybe $30-50.

Well we worked on the car a little today. I had a small later model starter that was with a race engine we bought last year and it seemed to fix that problem. We took the electric fuel pump out from under the car and it wouldn't even work sitting on the bench, not sure if something had gotten in it and stopped it up or what, we plan to replace it tomorrow and see if that fixes that problem.

I also found a donor car, a '73 duster with disc brakes, a 318, and the 8 1/4 rear end under it, but that is a lot of work, and more money.

Decisions decisions.

Well we do have the '67 Barracuda drag car we race a little, and a hemi on the stand we need to get finished to go in the Barracuda and get the wedge out.

And all of our hunting and fishing trips.

Oh back to the car, got the new electric pump on it and the car is back running, but we have a dang header leak, got to pull it back off and fix that.

I know I know, just messing with you.

And what you said is so true.

No matter how good the car is or looks everyone wants them to be better.

Heck no, I have thick skin.

I just want to thank everyone for the advice and help on this project. It's my son's car, but right now it's has mostly my money in it, but yall know how that is.

Hey and I will get to drive it occasionally.

Ok folks, I called the guy with the donor car today and told him to get it out of the weeds and we would come get it.

So now the plan is to put the small block k member in it, and motor mounts.
Put the disc brakes off the front of it on ours.
And put the rearend springs and all under ours.

Also plan to put the V8 radiator in ours to see if it helps cool ours, and put the mater cylinder and proportioning valve on ours.

Any info on changing the K member would be great.

Also with us doing the front end swap who makes a good bushing kit that won't break the bank, we have spend enough.

Thanks for the advice.

If the large K bolts wont budge (& a sharp jerk on the breaker bar is better than a steady pull) drill a correctly placed small hole the size of the red straw on a spray can of Kroil in the side of the subframe at that point & give the threads a good blast daily for several days. Dont want to break the welded nuts loose inside the subframe(s)

Thanks, do I need to use the torsion bars out of the V8 car?

Are the new urethane bushing the way to go?

prob could get by w the /6 bars if you had no others but w them avail yes use the V8 ones and keep them on the same side as they came out of pass bar on pass side but end to end makes no diff & try not to nick them. I would suggest Poly ex for the LCA bushing(s) but peruse the parts 4 sale section & if a rubber kit is avail (there or elsewhere for cheaper) it is not a dealbreaker, Poly a slight bit firmer

Got both cars in the shop and going to go to work on them this weekend. Got two motors and one transmission to pull out and then we can start on moving parts over.

Oh boy.
