The number I have from a very old white book does not split fastback, notchback or convertible and is for total shipment but not sure if that includes exports ? Also the numbers for 4 speed and auto are in italics stating totals are higher or lower that total ???

Total is 1,841

4spd 1,036

Auto 748

GG's "white book" shows:

1967 Barracuda Formula S 383 4bbl - US spec.
total - 1841
auto ~ 748
4spd ~ 1036

with NO breakdown by body style.

treed - but where do GG's number come from & why the numbers don't add up

total '67 Barracudas = 62,534
total US spec '67 Barracudas = 57,538

OPTION & ACCESSORY REPORTS tracked percentages to the 00.1% (on 57,538 cars that's +/- 29 cars)

Formula S with 383 4bbl = 3.2% = 1841 +/- 29
Formula S with 383 4bbl & auto = 1.8% = 748 +/- 29
Formula S with 383 4bbl & 4spd = 1.3% = 1036 +/- 29

Since the auto & 4spd percentages (1.8% + 1.3%) don't add up to the total (3.2%):
total is actually < 1841
&
auto is actually > 748
4spd is actually > 1036

Not if it is a '67... No "numbers" until '68.

I have a shot to buy a 67 next week. 20 plus years ago I found an original 1 owner car and it has a damaged front end from rolling down a hill and hitting a tree. Current owner has a donor car for sheet metal replacement. Needless to say it will need paint and body work. The original numbers engine and trans still remain in the car. Medium blue exterior and black interior, bucket seat non-console. It is a 383 4 spd Formula S Fast Back. On a 1 to 5 scale what is the value of what I call a 4 on condition ?

I got a brown 67 383 4-speed fastback with a gold interior (changed to black) 4 years ago for $32K. That does not take into account today's market, 20% less would be about right for a #2 car like the one I picked up. All you can do about numbers in 67 cars is 2-3 months date coded parts prior to the car's SPD.

Jim, I was going to call you last night to get an idea on value, but with any value estimates people really need to see the car for an accurate estimate so here's your invite come on down to see the car 4-1/2 hours south of you. Any idea $$$ on what I call a number 4 condition car needing restored. Numbers match etc, description in above post.

Pics would definitely help, hope it was stored indoors for the last 20 years. With no info I would think at least $3K but could be worth up to $15K depending on condition and the parts it has with it. If the 929 radiator is still there and not too damaged, the 893 oil pan is there, and of course the exhaust manifold, Inland shifter and all linkage, and the rest of the hard-to-find parts are there then the price goes up.

yes Jim was stored in doors, never outside.
The believe radiator is toast due to tree hit but everything else you mentioned is still intact on the car. It has been several years since I viewed the car will know more when i see it again next week.
I don't have any pics. I will text them too you next week. Would you say a minimum of 10k now ?

That particular radiator is hard to find, just sold on for $600 and the guy is getting a great deal, though it needs recored. Would still have to check it out for that kinda price!
