I have a friend looking for a hood insulation pad for his 70 Cuda. What is correct and who has them? Is it likely that any of the vendors will have them in stock at the Nats?

Thanks!

The moulded pad is supposed to be correct. I know Herb's said they take some to the show.(maybe call them and ask first) My 73 didn't have a moulded pad though. I took off the original one and it was just a generic non moulded pad. I've heard from a few people that said there could have been a couple different venders for the pads.

Thanks burdar - I think he's leaning towards the molded style. Any other memebers with 70 e-bodies have info? Were both types found on the early e-bodies as well?

I sent an email to Herb's. Thanks again

All of my 70 E-bodies always had a generic pad. I've never seen an original one with a molded pad.
