Has anyone ever slotted bumper brackets on a 73 cuda? so as to close up the gap between the bumper and rubber filler panel. Right now I have about 3/4 inch gap and the brackets are all the way aft.??

This may move them in closer then you want but you can drill out the square holes that are infront of the factory ovaled ones to 5/8". That will put the bumper in the 72 possition.

Thanks for the suggestion Darren, I was looking at that last night. That might work it is a possibility. The other problem I may have is my bumper reinforcement appears to have been tweaked when the right front was hit. I never saw that when I had them pwd coated. May be looking for a new one of these as well.

I snapped a quick picture today and the filler panel is just slid into place, but as you can see it is nearly a 3/4 in gap does anyone have a picture of a factory install on this area?

That looks right (at least on a 73 Challenger sure it's pretty much the same). If you want to tuck the bumpers in use 70-72 brackets and loose the plastic filler.
