Yes and since that's a 69 STL car, any info anyone would be willing to share about the car would be appreciated.

There was a thread a Long time ago on this subject as I also had one of those tags on my 68 GTX. It was also thought the tag was put on a car that was ordered from a military person before he came back home. I believe he ordered it while away in the service and when he got home the car was ready and waiting for him at a dealership.
I don't know but that's what was said before about the tag.

Doug I thought about that after I asked the question. What I do know is it's a 383 - 4bbl , 4speed car .

My 69 RR had that tag and the export sticker on the door jamb. Although the speedo was in mph, kph, so it wasn't a true "exported" car. The logical conclusion was it was, as mentioned above, ordered overseas (Vietnam) and was delivered to the dealership of choice upon their arrival back in the states. My RR was a Lynch Rd built car, FWIW.

If I remember right , not all cars with the export tags were actually exported.

seems like canadian export cars always got the MPH speedo while any car ordered for over seas got the KPH unless it was, like pointed out, ordered by a GI

My Canadian specs (Y07) coded aar cuda did not have one; however, I guess it could have been removed before I owned it. JohnRR where was the tag attached to the body on this Sport Satellite?

Cars built for Canada were not considered export cars.

Chrysler considered any car ordered from overseas an export car, so that includes cars ordered by US service men stationed overseas. In a nutshell, they could order a car from Vietnam, Germany or wherever they were & have it delivered to a dealership of their choice stateside. They could pick it up when they returned home that way.

Some information on Chrysler's Military Sales Program for the 1969 model year at http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/dealerships/1969-DealershipsMilitarySalesOrderingInfo.shtml

For the 1970-74 car owners that have export / International coded cars, if you have your broadcast sheet & also see Y11 than it was ordered by a US Service man.

I have noticed a fair number of export cars coded N95 for California emissions, likely due to the Navy transports bringing our guys back through the bases at San Diego & San Francisco.

Doug, do you know if Y11 was in use on 1969 broadcast sheets as well?

I've seen the tag on St. Louis '69 b-bodies left of center (driver's side) of the header panel/tie bar? between the fenders.
If you look at the pic that JohnRR posted, that's the radiator in the background.

I've seen '69 (A/B) & '70 (E) Hamtramck near the fender tag.

My 68 GTX had one on the rad support filler piece.
Close to the spring that pops the hood up.

This is a Y09 export order car. Has the separate Plymouth tag.....I also have a NOS Dodge export order tag.

I'm the CARETAKER of Weinstats '69 440 'cuda registry and have 104 of the 360 cars to date. 84 fastbacks/20 coupes. Always looking for new(REAL M-code) '69 440 'cudas to add to the registry so drop me a note if any are found or known. This isn't a publicly released registry. Thanks, Dave

Should have a Y09 on the fender tag for Export Order.

I have one of those tags on my wall in the garage. I came from a 69 Barracuda 318, 4 spd, 8 3/4 coupe rust-bucket from North Dakota. I parted it and cut it up. The tag was located next to the fender tag.
