This is the set up btw
Alternator pulley has been changed since these pictures were taken.

Bill,

I forgot to mention that's a nice shot of the crapper in the back ground.

And you will notice the seat is and typically stays ,,, UP

but quick update, the belt noise is actually coming from the power steering.
Odd, whne you lean over the engine compartment it sure sounds like the alt belt

I picked up a new belt this afternoon and will try again in the am

yes, with the seat up it would classify as a man cave Post up new pics after you install the new belt so we can see it. Maybe valve in power steering sector is stuck causing extra pressure to be applied to the pump along with improper belt or tension ??

If you have the power steering belt going around the power steering pump, water pump and crank pullies, I'd say that is your problem. Squeal is coming from that belt. Not enough surface contact on the ps pump pulley. I had the same problem on the challenger.
Fix is to get a stock idler pulley setup.
Power steering belt should go around crank and ps pump pullies only.
Another belt goes water pump, idler pulley, crank pulley.
Then third belt (should actually be dual belts) goes crank, AC compressor and alternator.

PS pump belt picture.
FYI, I have a classic air sanden rotory compressor on a 440 sixpack setup.

No issues here with water pump to crank to power steering pulley, none at all its not been a problem.

The PS pump is doing this? ... just under normal operation ? What does it do when you hit the right and left lock ? ....toss the belt completely off

Took all 3 pulleys off yesterday, glass beaded the belt grooves to get any and all finishes off of them.
Made darn sure the power steering pump pulley was in perfect alignment with the crank/water pump pulleys.
Put another new belt on it and so far so good

I would love to run a 2 belt setup on the a/c compressor but with the current pulley arrangment , but thats not going to happen.
It has all new repop Bushchillon pulleys and the thick Hemi dampner. I'll see what happens once the a/c system is charged and maybe re-address this after the Nats.
This car WILL be there one way or the other

The only time it squeels is with a quick blip on the throttle . If you hold it at any RPM there is no noise what so ever. Never even tried to toss the belt, and no noise on full lock that I've noticed.

I'm going for a little test drive this afternoon and see what I get.

I'm curious what 500 ft lbs of torque does with the new tires

Yes it would be a good idea to season those tires, I do it every time out with the 426 AAR Cuda
