shoebox OP super stock S Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 808 mckinney texas	ive recently had eye surgery for a retinal detachment. they basically stitched a belt buckle around my eye to hold it all together and im going to be fine. ive had it done on my other eye several years ago. when its all said and done my vision should be 100% normal. i think big daddy had to quit because of retina problems? im going to ask my doctor if i can still race but anyone have any stories about eyes and racing? im worried that hes not going to want me to race. im just trying to get into the 10's so its not like a outlaw 10.5 car or somthing. i wonder how much g load the fuel cars make and what could a 10.80 car make? thanks for any input 74 dart sport 440 www.Csucarbs.com

maximum entropy master M Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 5,080 organ	i think it's something like 6 g when the chute hits? iirc, f1 cars can go over 5 g (on deceleration), but my guess is the fuel car hits much harder, a momentary spike. I have a retina detachtment also due to stopping a big block Nova guys fist with my face many times because my 4,000 pound hydraulic cammed 440 Charger was a second faster than his radical 454 Nova was, I can laugh about it now but he was a big boy and I couldn't get away.
