Cruising!
I'm repairing the power windows on a newer car. The car has a sheet of plastic behind the interior door panel. This plastic was glued to the door's sheet metal. It came off in one piece with reasonable effort.

So, what kind of glue should be used to hold this plastic sheet in place when I re-install it? The glue shouldn't hold to well or it will be impossible to remove the plastic in the future without tearing the plastic.

Easiest way is to use strips of dum dum (3M caulking).
Comes in a box with wax paper between the layers of strips.
Stick the strips of dum dum to the perimeter of the door, then push the weathershield onto the dum dum. Factory generally used white from what I've seen, but I've only gotten black from the local paint supply shop.
