Ok,

The car is a 1967 Plymouth Belvedere. When I purchased the car several years ago it had the power front disc brake set up that I am sure most have read about on moparaction.com.

I am changing the master cylinder from power to non power and am having problems with the pedal length/height.

Currentley I have removed the catilever set up from the power brake predal set up and am using a mancini racing adjustable brake pedal pushrod. However, even at its shortest setting the pedal is way too high.

Actually I can't even install the pedal pushrod with the brake light switch in place. Has anybody ever run into this before? I cut down part of the adapter, but it is still to long and if I cut down anymore I won't be able to get the tigheting nut on it.

Also the shoulder bolt from the power pushrod does not go through the mancini pushrod? Is this normal? Should I go looking for a different bolt? Please help. Thanks.

Sean

I am currently working on a '67 GTX with manual brakes. I will measure the pushrod tomorrow for you.

Here is the one out my '67. It is about 6 and 7/8ths of an inch long.

Hope that helps.
