ok, i have strange single adjustables on the back of my black junk

it has a 12" 130 lb spring.

i think that the shocks are not compressed enough and the rear is sitting a little to high. i am thinking the the shock will extend under launch and get maxed out. right now my shock eyes are 13". am i thinking about this right?

i am also thinking that i need to change my springs for some 110s to put some adjustment into the rear susp. right now, any adjustment would be in one direction and IMO, the wrong direction

also is there any weird science and how much lowing the rear will effect weight bias?

and how is Quicktree doing? i tried calling him

You would be correct in using a lighter spring to
get the design length... set the lower adjuster at
1" up from the bottom... with the correct spring you
shouldnt have to adjust more than about 1" more to
get the proper design length... to adjust ride height
move the lower mounting point up or down......
cant say about Tony... I havent heard anything

A 12" rear spring should be compressed 3-4 inches. You are better off with a soft spring rather than a stiff spring because that will not allow the shock to work. The adjustment on the shock spring adjuster only changes the ride hight, not the shock settings. The shock will first entend on the launch.150 - .300", then go into compression .500 to .800 if everything is working correctly. If the car spins, you will have very little shock movement. Dyno

Most of the coil over shock companys have a ride hieght(maybe the incorrect word) they want thier shocks set up to, call yours and ask them what static ride hieght they recommend on those shocks The first coil overe car i worked on had three inch travel AVO They wanted the static ride hieght set at 2 inch compressed on the springs Strange Engr. has their staic ride hieghts set similar for each length shock, so many inches between the centers

The 5.52" stroke (S5206) shock has a ride height range of 13.875" - 14.5", the 4.64" stroke (S5205) shock has a range of 12.625" - 13.25". These values are the shock length at ride height.
