Hey pulled an old cam out, looks new... anyone have any idea on how to I.D these things??? only numbers are 454 9 1 and F 9...

Its obviously a chevy cam...thats why the car went 17s

Measure the lobe across the largest part and the smallest part, subtract the two and multiply by 1.5. That's your valve lift. Do it on both intake and exhaust lobes and you'll have a pretty good idea what the cam is.

.420 for both exhaust and intake... sound correct for a mid 70's smogger???? I am putting in summit 6401 .465/.488 lift 288 and 292 duration
