Anyone running these? 1 7/8" into 3" full headers, looks like no flange on collector (no big deal to add), look to be pretty equal length, and only $252.95 from Summit. Need some headers for the '64 Savoy 440 project, and I'm thinking 1 3/4" primaries are too small; even though they're half this price, I'm thinking they'd be a big restriction. The other side of that is this thing needs torque to move, as it'll only have 3.91s, 3000RPM stall, 28" tire. 448", Stealths, will run 3" or 2.5" exhaust. Whaddya think?

I would assume the engine isnt stock... so in that case I would go with the 1 7/8" with the 3"(which is small for a collector on that size tube) and run a 3" exhaust back to the muff then 2 1/2" tail pipes if running them........ OR cut the 3" collectors off and weld on 3 1/2" collectors and run the 3" exhaust to the muff and disconnect the exhaust for the track but have a collector of 16" to 18" when the exhaust is off

What about plug tires on that passenger side. Looks a little intimidating. Plus you will have too put a late K and build a transmission mount in your car to use them.

Looks to me like 2,4, & 6 wires can run under, 8 over the valve cover. Far as I know, the early B K-frame isn't an issue; seems nobody lists headers for the pre-'66 cars, but plenty of guys are running them. When I search Summit's site for '64 headers, the usual Hedmans, Doug's & Hookers are shown, even though most descriptions in print start with '66. The Patriots aren't shown for '64s, though.

Better look close, some will some will not. Hooker super comps for a 66 up will not fit a 62-65 car. The engine is further forward in the early car and steering box will interfere with number 1 tube. That is also the reason you cant just use any oil pan on a 62-65.
