I'm in the final stages of assembling my engine and am alittle concerned about the head gaskets. I have been seeing alot of problems guys are having with oil and coolant leaks from the heads. So my question is are #1106 head gaskets ok? Should I put any sealer around the oil and water openings of the head gasket?

I use the 1105 (440 .051 thick ) and they are fine as is as they are composition gaskets. make sure everything is nice and clean and no problems.

If both the block and head surface are square you shouldn't have a problem with any head gasket.
