If race fuel that sits in a SEALED gas can for say 4-5 months,can gas get moisture in it???

How can anything get into a "SEALED" container?

Thats what I said....This kid was telling me that his dads motor had water on a spark plug and their engine builder said that there must have been moisture in their gas can and when they ran the motor,got on the plugs.

I told him I thought a crack or broken head gasket.

It can, depending on where it was stored, & i will say, I lived in Fla. & the south for many yrs., moisture will get into EVERYTHING!! No matter how well you "think" its sealed & thats a fact
