Looking at options for a cam package for a 426 Hemi. My machinist is suggesting a mechanical roller set up. It's all new to me. I've always had 440's with a hydraulic cam. Any suggestions for a good quality cam, lifters, etc? Hughs? Comp cams, ??? This engine will be street driven as much as possible with an occasional blast down the track. An 18 spline 4 speed and 3:54 dana 60 make up the rest of the drivetrain.

Talk to Duane Porter of Porter Racing Heads. He has spec'd out the last 5 cams I have bought and I have been well pleased. He is a Comp dealer. I am running his flat tappet solid in my 528 Hemi and it is a great street cam. I had it nitrided and got the EDM lifters, have put over 7K miles on it with no problems. It specs out around 266@ 50, .596 lift on 110 CL. Duane posts on here.
