so nobody likes the rb 512 or bigger is it cause the block(stock)webbing

about 25 years ago i had a 440 motor that had cracked webbing and i didn,t even know till i tore the motor apart for a fresh rebuild, when i pulled the crank out part of the webbing came out with it,myself i go with the low decks cause you can wing em like a small block chevy and rpm,s make hp,on motor i shift around 7,800 rpm,s, on spray its close to 9 grand, and i have yet to throw a rod(not saying it won,t happen)it just hasen,t happened to me in the last 5 years

Being a small block guy, I like RPM's.

Well if you like RPM build one like mine. It certainly likes RPM. When I run it all out we shift it at 8300rpm. There is a about a .5 difference in ET from shiftint it at 7600 vs 8300rpm

As for CD 1.12 is a pretty acceptable CD IMO. People in the Mopar world have been using that for years. But I know of folks who have gone tighter. I prefer to keep the rings out of the pin anymore. But with all the pin options out there these days you can get the CD pretty tight. Depends on the end application. With a B1 set up the valve reliaef gets in the way, or if you run nitrous not sure I would want to get to small there either. But with the right ring pack and pin choice...
