by the way NICE CARS!!
Thanks, I only own the purple Dart, our good buddy Rob(Dartman928) owns the sweet Lime Green rig.
I found 2 small problems, the wire going from the alternator to the back of the car is only 10 gauge, so that needs upgraded to a 4 or 6. And that is also why the alternator gets 14.7 and the battery only gets 13.8.
Also, I hooked my hand held voltmeter up to the back of the cheapo Summit Racing volt gauge in my car and it reads 13.8 when the car is running, so it appears to just be a bad gauge.
Time to run a bigger wire and install a new gauge. The car ran sweet all weekend.

#8 wire will work if the run is 12' or less but #6 wouldn't hurt and #4 is overkill still make sure you have good grounds everywhere.

I ran #4 from the alternator to the cutoff switch..100 amp alternator and it charges great.

Rob, I seem to have grounds all over the place, everything is running fine, I just didn't like how the gauge only read 12.5 but it appears to be a bad gauge. I'm gonna get a new gauge and install a larger alt wire.
Rob how do you have yours grounded?
