Well I ordered the stage two kit from procharger. It should come in this week then I start putting it on
I hope it's not hard to install, I been thinking about it for a wile and finally went and did it. It should pick it up about a hundred HP or so. They say about ten hours to install so it will prolly take me a month lol.
If anyone has any tricks to help the install please tell.

I did a intercooled magnacharger and it took me 20 hrs. Make sure you put new intake gaskets on. The chally I did had the intake soaked with oil and the rubber portion of the gaskets were falling apart. That was with a whole 5000 miles on it.

Thanks for the tip. I plan on taking the heads off and getting them CNC'd this winter so I hope it lasts that long. You see where most are running an oil seperater at the pcv port of the TB? I need one asap I bet. My SRT has 7000 miles now lol. I can't wait for it to make some boost.

My Jeep has 23000 miles on it and I have never ran the catch can. I am not worried about mine but I will have new ones on hand if I take the intake off. Good luck with the install.

I did a Procharger on my old '09 Challenger. I did have it all together and running in a long days work by myself... Do yourself a favor and have the car professionally tuned. The canned tune from ProCharger is ULTRA rich....

That is why I like the magnason blower. It still uses the stock airbox locattion and the motor is no harder to work on than the stock one. Pulls cold air and has instant boost. It is all a prefrence though.

The stage two procharger has it's air intake right behind the drivers side headlight. The HO kit has it drawing right off the top of the drivers side header, that looked funny to me so I went stage two. Plus the intercooler will be in the grill and it looks like a nice piece.
It's going together pretty good now. I was going to the mopar race at Ohio valley but i'd rather get this car done and back to working on my turbo avenger. So another day working on junk lol

It's running and driveing. It pulls pretty hard when the RPM rise. I still need to get it to the dyno to check the tune but it's running pretty strong. One thing I would do I'd get the upgrade'd gears in the procharger. Mine is loud at idle but sounds real good at 1500rpm.

Stage two

Just a little update. Took it to the dyno and made several pulls. It put down 442 HP as it came from procharger. Tune was lean pretty bad with A/F in the 15's at WOT.
With the preditor we started adding fuel and it kept making HP. With it finally ending up around 13.2 A/F and picking up to 472 HP.
So there you have it. Just a great car to enjoy on pretty days that has enough muscle under the hood to get your attention.

Wow...13.2 a/f is still scary lean. My ProCharged Challenger was tuned to 11.8 a/f. Tune was done by Modern Muscle in Illinois. Car made 454 horsepower on their Dynojet... I would seriously confirm those numbers and look at a retune.... You are going to break something...

I'd recheck your numbers. Your junk sounds like it should be makeing more power for the cash spent.

Good one, BUT, my junk was a 5.7 R/T.... Hows it feel to spend $10K+ for that extra 18HP on the SRT???

Enjoy those pistons while they last....

I love the way it drives now, stock till you go a little too far then it hikes the front end and starts black tracking and barking gears lol

mine was under list by a bunch, and I installed it my self.

I would have liked to fattin it up till it stops making more power but it's alot safer now then it was is what I was wanting peeps to see.

I will be putting drag radials on it soon. My F1's are about done. TheN we will see what it puts on the time slip.

I'm looking at the new Weld wheels for this thing. Anyone one if a ten inch wide rim will fit. Also will a 295 series tire fit?

With slightly different offsets and backspacing, it seems like you can only fit about 9" in the front and 10" in the back.

18 HP??? Most SRTs dyno at about 360ish. 472 sounds like 112hp to me but maybe my math is bad.

If it is tuned to 13.2:1 AFR I really recomend adding some fuel to it. Those stock pistons have a very thin top ring land and burn through easily. Shoot for about 11.5. You will probably have to send the tune out and have it redone.

I think the issue here is identifying whether it was 472 at the crank or at the rear wheels. I am guessing the op meant at the wheels.

Yes my numbers are all wheel HP. I would like it a touch fatter as well but no more the mid 12's in A/F any more is just killing mpg.

On challenger talk there are people making well over 500hp on dynos and getting out run by stock R/Ts so I know dynos are for making sure your going the right way on the tune.

I have been thinking about a ten pound pulley

Please re read the thread... The OP was hammering on me because my car only made 454 RWHP vs his 472 RWHP... I only had the 5.7 R/T... So, in this case, he did spend an extra $10K or so for 18 horsepower and some SRT emblems vs my R/T...

Either way, the car is too lean and his tune is crap... He is going to break it. He doesn't want to fatten it up due to MPG??? Really?? Who buys a SRT and ProCharges it, and then worries about gas mileage?? Now he is talking about a 10 lb pulley...

How about you just go away! I'm happy with my car as it is. It makes more power then yours ha ha ha. Will always be worth more and will stop 100 times better. Your a joke.

Anything fatter then 12.5 is waisted fuel and is just as harmfull as not enough fuel. That unburnt fuel will lift a ring as fast as any other reason. Like I posted, if i could have went richer I would have, but to about 12.8 is all I care to see. But what do I know.

It's just over 1200 miles and a couple weekends at the dragstrip. It's still running fine at 8300 miles. I'll post again at ten thousand miles to see if it is still going. Lmao

here's me (11.93)on an easy pass vs my buddy's supercharged SRT-8. All I can say is learn to drive it before you go to the track and get some sticky tires. Otherwise be prepaired for 13 second passes.

Your car sounds good!

I went 8.08 in the 1/8 last time out on the F1s it came with. I been waiting on Weld to get some wheels made then it's getting drag radials. Prolly won't go back till there on.

This challenger is my new muscle, The Valiant is my old Muscle. 541ci, Indy heads, Fast EFI. 1.29 sixty foot and 6.00 at 115mph footbreaking then there's an Avenger Im building from the junkyard up. Those are my main money pits. This Challenger is just my streeter I play with.

Lmao

no need to rag on my old Challenger as that car is long gone... Until Mopar makes a car that performs rather than an image car, I will have to live with new Brand X muscle....

So, I will leave you to your collector's item.... and tuning it like it is naturally aspirated... Please don't disable the knock sensors, I have a feeling that they are all that is keeping the thing together....

put one on my dads srt 300 and did pretty well at the track..12.40's so it picked up over well over a sec..we want to put it on the dyno..to see if she's happy with the pro charge tune..he was in a rush to pick it up so

well went to the chassis dyno, and it says 400rwhp.. still picked up a sec in the 1/4 they say 370ish stock rwhp..a/f ratio looked real nice high 11's..but the chart also showed from 3500rpm to 6200 unstable climb not smooth like the beginning of the pull..were thinkin theres more left in it..just tryin to find a long island guy that knows what he's doing with the diablo..any suggestions?

There are not many tuners left out here. The only guy I keep hearing good things about is Brian at Kaltech. He mainly doesn GMs (LS motors) but if iam not mistaken he does everything.

You have a ton left in it I bet. Prolly 50HP.

What were your a/f ratio? How many pounds of boost?

Procharged does a poor job of helping with a tune. It should be a lot closer then what they send.

i couldn't agree more! today we are going to a tune guru here on long isl to correct pro chargers tune! puttin a set of stainless works headers on and guaranteed 500 rwhp..Chris longo has been getting a ton of pro charge cutomers from the co itself..ours made 409 rwhp and u can see the graph either ignition or timeing issue, either way the diablo tune is out the window! should have her done in 2 days..i'll keep u guys posted.
