Found the collar nuts missing on my 440 standard exhaust manifolds and need to find temporary replacements today. Checked with Ace, Advance Auto, Lowe's and nothing in a "collar", "Rod" "Coupler" nut or what ever they are call

Does anyone know the length, stud size and thread pitch of the two on the passenger's side and I assume there is one missing from the driver's side but too hot to look so I'd need that length, stud size and thread pitch for that one too.

Just want a temporary replacement that I can find at say the local hardware, auto parts, or Tractor Supply company or anywhere you guys might know today THANKS.

The threads in the head are 3/8"-16 NC but the exposed threads on the stud are 3/8"-24 NF.....

That's what I thought, NF for the thread for the nut and course for the head. Tractor Supply has a 10-24 "coupler" the only thing they list in 24 NF, would that work???

No.. 10-24 is a #10 diameter which is less than half the diameter of a 3/8" bolt...

No one close by that would have the correct nuts? Lots of parts sellers in Ohio, how far is BEA? If you were close to me I have a bunch in a hardware drawer..

10-24 is no where near the same size as 3/8"x24--sorry. For all the trouble your going to go through for a temporary solution, I'd just park it for a couple of days to get the right piece. I just picked some up off ebay for a 383 build I did for a guy. They make them in stainless too which is nice.

Outcast Dodge guy.

My son and I have been trying to get out to a local cruise for ever this year and all I need is a temp solution not a week's wait for an ebay seller. No way if I don't get out this weekend will it happen in a few days. Next week I have other family plans......scr#w it I'll just drive it without them.....sorry for the rant, it's been either raining here or had other issues to deal with and really want to get it out this weekend.

are you talking about the barrel nuts for BB manifolds?

I might have a couple stock ones from when i swaped to a center dump manifold on my 88 440 truck

I got new studs at napa

I think you can get the new barrel nut from bouchillon

MP sells the kit, my local dealer used to have them hanging on the wall. If the manifold is off you can remove the stud and replace it with a socket head bolt.
