Bugging me some about this, even if not fully retracted, neither cylinder should exert pressure until they are equal.
Unless "self servo" is agravating this.

Hey Jim

Yeah except for this
" Model Affected:
2006 DODGE DAKOTA"
But doing a good mechanical redo of rear maybe this weekend.
Have a JY HCU for futher troubles.
And this still bugs me,

"even if not fully retracted, neither cylinder should exert pressure until they are equal."
Unless "self servo" or" self energizing" is agravating this.

I'd not visited this for awhile. Went and pulled offending wheel to double check, and inventory what I wanted to order.
Imagine what I finaly found after pulling this drum at least 3 times.
Think that could explain over adjusting?
Fixed that, cable looks good, still do major overhaul in spring.
Backed off adjustment, I'll know in a couple of days if it comes back.
Thanks, Mike and others.
Jim.
