I really hope its the adjuster. When it get to me I got so tired and just went straight home and tryed to forget about it.
Will start the searching when I have "the force" again.
Do you use the exhaust opening, intake closing method of setting the lash
Yes... Not after the chart, 1 in TDC, adjust 2 intake and 8 exhaust... (MP, Hughes and other), or do I miss understand - I'm swedish
Thats like using the MP decal version... I believe doing it the way you did the adjustment you might not have been on the base.... with the exhaust just opening you adjust the intake on that cylinder then when the intake is closing(about quarter of the way) you adjust the exhaust... there are some post on here that you can look it up for a good procedure
I can assure you with my 276/284 @ .050 .700 lift roller the MP chart is accurate and it is on the base circle. The problem I see with the other method is as Greg has pointed out in previous threads, you are never sure of exactly where you are on the cam. If you use the chart and set the marks exactly you are measuring at the same spot on the cam everytime. If you keep records it's much easier to spot a problem that way.
Plus you don't have the added pressure of the adjacent valve pressing on the cam or possibly bending the rocker shaft, especially with big spring pressures.

Which roller lifter are you using?Does it have oil pressure fed to the roller needles?I am in favor of this style lifter that also can push oil up the pushrods. With a restrictor in each pushrod,it won't bleed off too much oil pressure but will still keep extra oil in the cup & ball. This would eliminate the occational burnt cup.
HEMI-ITIS has no cure. My condition is fully BLOWN!!

Hi again, Its comp cams roller lifters 829-16, if I dont remember wrong. My oilsystem its a external pickup typ, melling HV pump and .040 restrictors to each of the external oiling lines to the indy sr's. Will inspect the pushrod. Thanks for all response. I'm about changing setup. Will race my 65 hemi instead and this will be a cruiser with comp cams 286HR hydraulic roller camshaft and edelbrock RPM heads. Will also use the hughes roller rockers setup - banana groooooves, here I come!! Thanks and

What size do you recommend when not use the T-block just one line from block to head and same on opposite side? When installed it I e-mailed Indy and ask but never got any answer.
Thanks

first of all i don't like restricters unless there is full time oiling. not only does the rocker gear need oiling but the springs need oiling for a coolant, especially big springs. remove the restricters or at least open them up .090-.100, both sides. replace the push rods and adjusters and check the fulcrums on the rockers. i'll bet problem will be solved.

Most of the Indy heads, I don't know about the new EZ heads yet, oil the rockers full time from the back of the block, I use a .039 restrictor now to reduce flooding the heads to much. I had treid no restictor , it empty the oil pan on the dyno ,I then tried a .080 and still had flooding issues and now have the .039 in thier now which still oils a lot to the single shaft Harland Sharp roller rockers Same thing on my other motor with the single shaft T&D
