maxi333 OP enthusiast Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 207 kauai	I have a 68 Satellite power front disc conversion rear drum all new brake system. I've been trying to bleed my brakes for a couple hours now. Starting from the rear passenger side I'm using a vacuum bleeder. The problem is nothing is coming out of either side in the rear. So i detached it from the proportioning valve up front and there was barely a trickle of fluid coming out even while i pressed on the brake pedal!?!? But at the master cylinder it comes out fine I bench bled the master cylinder as instructed and the front brakes bleed fine as well. The only thing I can think of is the check valve inside the proportioning valve is blocking off the back brakes. I have the universal proportioning valve #MBM PV2. I did as was instructed in the tech of MBM brakes site where I open the front bleeders and keep the back bleeders closed, then press down on the brake pedal slowly a few times to try and get the check valve to return to it's default position but it didn't seem to work. Is there another way to adjust the check valve? Am I missing something here? Is there something else I screwing up? There was a thread about some of these new proportioning valves having internal components that were a few thousands oversize causing the spool/stem to bind once it is off centered... T Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 21,083 Niles , Ohio	We had some at work that wouldnt center.I always just had someone stab the pedal hard as I opened a frt bleeder.Then close before the pedal is released.It almost always works.Might have to do it a few times.Rocky Chrysler Firepower

Not saying this is definitely your problem but it's worth being aware of... what he said , it's probably that new valve , I had a new residual valve from on of the companies and same thing nothing came thru it .

If not I will definitely give this method a try. I was worried that was messing with the check valve. everything looked good just a little fluid around the connections on the prop valve but i wiped it and pumped the brakes a little more but didn't notice any more fluid anywhere else.
