IIRC, I believe the slant six cars used something like a small 9 1/4 clutch setup.
The V8's use a "10.5 -23 spline unit for the clutch. He will need a bellhousing from 318,340 or 360 engine.
I have not seen a slant six bellhousing, stock or aftermarket ,thats fits both a Mopar SB V8 and a slant six I've done the same as one of the other posters, removed a three speed stick(medium duty) from a 1973 340 duster and put in a NP833 4 speed out of another A body, I used the earlier (pre 1969)A body 4 speed shifter also I'm thinking the clutch splines (23) and input shaft diameters are all the same on the non Hemi and 440 HD 18 spline 4 speed clutches
Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)
