It is the release handle for the latch that is unique to the GTX/Sport Sat.
I have the normal Belvedere release on my GTX as I haven't been able to find the proper one. It sticks out too far in between the top of the grille frame and the bottom edge of the hood.Also one of the holes for the mounting screws doesn't line up with the holes in the cross bar.
Would probably be an easy mod to make it look correct though. Until then' I'll keep looking for the right one!
