I added an extra wire from the battery stud of the alternator,with a fusible link and connected it to the battery stud at the starter relay.
Done in ten minutes and no load on the ammeter.

The bulkhead connector is the weakest link in the electrical system and has turned many Mopar drivers into pedestrians.

I can suggest the MAD ammeter gauge bypass....
