What little I've used of it.....that is some nasty stuff. I wish it fail as far as the stuff that hardened on my painted surface that you can still see. Never used a primer to install. Clean up before it sets up.

It makes sense that a painted surface break free before that stuff would let go of the paint.

Call a paint supplier and see what they recommend.

ME? I'd clean it with some lacquer thinner and git 'er done.
