As for the rear wheel opening.....there is a long story that goes with those so sit down and make yourself comfortable.

Here is a picture of a real car that was still at Hurst when the picture was taken. This is how they were done ORIGINALY....nobody can argue with this picture....this is how this car was done. If you look very close you can still see the the soot left over after they brazed the seems shut.
