Pink was not a factory color for 68, or 69 for that matter. It was available in 70 though. So if its a 68 Charger, and its pink, it was painted by a previous owner. Or its red and really faded. If its a 70, and pink, then look for code FM3 on fender tag. There is at least one member here that is very familiar with pink cars and can give stats.

Could be a special order car. You could get just about any existing color if you really wanted it. Most pink cars in the 1960s are like the playboy pink that Hef ordered for the Playmate of the Year.

With any special order paint car, you need good documentation before it's restored. As far as we know, no Chrysler documentation was delivered with the car showing the actual color. There are some that are straight forward like rallye green 1969 cars but I'm not that up on those to know if 99 or 96 always meant the same color.

Nick.
