Just my opinion here, but I have always thought clearing a solid 1 stage color is a waste of paint. You might as well just use base/clear to start with, the base color is easier to control, and you can put as much clear on as you want then. If you have a metallic 1 stage color than good luck to you. Because no matter what these guys say, it isn't easy to get the metallic to lay correctly from panel to panel unless you have experience. Watering down with clear will not help! And just to stir the pot one final time, 1 stage looks more original on these old musclecars, orange peel and all. Sorry, must be the cold here in Maine today..........
