The later engines are more valuable but the early 331 with the cast-on doghouse can adapt to a 4-speed with a Wilcap (i think) adapter. The early engine doesn't have as good of heads as the later two but who knows that? Around here you'd be asking $500 for the doghouse and $750 for the 4-barrel, $1250 for the "hot rod". That's my guess. It's quite a find and I hope you have a heavy duty trailer or truck. GET THEM OUT OF THERE as fast as you can.
