Here's a link to a thread at fabo with my progress pics.
I was going to pull a pic from photobucket, but the site is under maintenance.

This is a plastic year-One dash cap, cost $108 with shipping.

They give you clear silicon goop to seal it.

they strongly urge to rough up the edges only of the pad and cap, then goop the stuff on and clamp, tie, weight or tape the two surfaces together.

I roughed up the edges, then used brake kleen to make sure it was clean as could be then put the goop on, and taped the whole perimeter with blue painters tape.

The excess wipes off the cap easily with a wet rag.

My cap came nicely packaged, but had some scratches already on it so they must have been there before it was even put in the bag and the box because the sealed bag and box arrived in perfect condition.
I'm not too picky though so I just put it on instead of dealing with customer-no-service and shipping it back.
They are not easily seen and I can live with it.

As far as how long will they last or does the sun mess them up, well, I have not had it on long enough to tell you that, but it will be garage kept.
