Just wanted to post my heart felt gratitude to Chris and Charlie Wheatcraft and all the guys at Kammer and Kammer. For those of you who don't know; I made the 9 1/2 hr haul up Quaker City Dragway last weekend to the No Box Extravaganza and created my own Extravaganza of broken pieces going through my motor. Long story short the pushrod cup exploded into four pieces in the water box and ate up a brand new rocker arm sending havoc through the rest of the engine. Like a hurt lifter beat up cam, crap through the bearings yada yada. So I start towing back home and call my buddy Chris who asks where I am and I tell him that I am an hour north of Columbus and he tells me to bring the car to his house and for me and Crystal to come on in and go to sleep and we will take the engine out in the morning. Keep in mind this is 11:30 at night and I would be rolling in at 1:30 am. So I wake up to Chris on the phone with Bob Kammer telling him we are pulling the engine and bringing it to him and Bob asks if I want it back to make the CC Event at Kil Kare
So at 10:10 am we unload the car and at 12:00 Chris and I are in the dually with wounded bullet and get to Kammers at 1:00. So I call Thursday to get a status on whether I am making the trip back up to put engine in on Friday only to find out that Charlie has already called wanting to know when she can pick my engine up I am now amazed but somehow not surprised. So Kudos to Kammer and Kammer for getting my engine done in less than a week which was a complete teardown including honing and the works. Those guys are awesome and this is the SECOND time they have fixed a blown engine in week for me. Last one sent the crank through the side of the pan and I was putting it back in on Friday So Charlie not only picks my engine up on Friday morning and delivers it back to the house; but proceeds to help me put it in the car till its done and running Ok so I am dumbfounded as to the generosity of these fine people. They even put me up in the toter for the night and fed me. Granted I have hung out with them on several occasions but they went way above and beyond especially since they were putting their stuff back together last week too.
Just cant say enough about all the people that helped me in the last week. If you are not using Kammer and Kammer for your engines you may want to give them a shout. And if you use Mickey Thompson tires then give Charlie and Chris a shout and they will hook you up. I have been blessed with some really wonderful business and personal relationships and the above mentioned folks are at the top of the list for sure.
