I always liked the looks of this little alternator:



For now I'm still using a reman 78 amp squareback from a late 70's Newport, and have had it for over 10 years. It's fine running down the road but after I put an electric fan on, it's really struggling at idle...even at an 1100 rpm idle it's really not up to snuff for low speed use at the moment. With a belt driven fan I never had a problem, even with a 250 fuel pump running constantly. Time for a change.
