With 2 4's I'd guess it was the new for '57 318 poly, but I think the 303 was still around then as well.




1957 U.S. Plymouth V-8's were 277, 301 and 318. Only the 318 was factory equipped with two fours (and in 57 only, all 318's had two fours). But the 318 intake would fit the 277 or 301.

318 was standard in the 57 Fury; optional in other models.

303 was a Canadian version, also used in the 56 Fury. Had a smaller bore, longer stroke than the 301.

All looked the same externally; internally, dimensions were (bore x stroke):

277: 3.75 x 3.125
301: 3.91 x 3.125
303: 3.81 x 3.31
318: 3.91 x 3.31
