I took my Volare out to the Canadian street car nationals on the weekend. I ran Open comp which is bracket racing off the .500 pro tree. My car has a stock 98 318 magnum with carb and headers. It has a 727 and 4.10 gear. I set it up as I ran 11.90 index with 29" front runners and 28" rear. I shallow staged and ran 3 00 lights in the 7 passes I made -.003 -.001 and a 000. I almost put my 24" fronts on as I figured there was no way I would cut a light. My launch rpm was a little under 2000. I ran a 600 vac carb and a 750 vac carb.

I redlighted 2nd round with the -.003 and the car I was against cut a .012 with a 14.60 dial. I ran a 14.45@95mph on a 14.44 dial. 2.02- 2.05 60' most of the time.

Slow cars can run the pro tree. I always get people saying its not possible how quick my car is on the pro tree. Foot braking from real shallow with a big rollout.

This was my first time racing this year and 2nd time in the last 2 years.
