We have done them for $100 if the housing is already clean and gutted. Pretty easy if someone knows exactly how long they want to be and what the offset of the pinion needs to be. Just cut in the chopsaw remove the carrier caps install the spacers. Slide the rod through and put the ends on with spacers weld it. Your done. Usually we can make some money somewhere else like parts or on the housing ends alone.

If this an HD60 it will have 3/8 thick tubes instead of 1/4. That is a lot of weight. But, that is part of the strength.
