You can purchase the Butyl tape from automotive paint supply shops like RW Mallon or other similar type outlets. The Windshield takes 5/16 tape and the rear glass takes 3/8.

You also need to purchase the pinch weld primer to provide the butyl tape with a proper surface to adhere to.

After carefully setting the windshield I use air to blow (not full force) from inside the windshield and go all the way around the perimeter of the windshield to make certain I have a perfect seal.(of course you need a friend to follow you around the perimeter on the outside to feel for air leaks).

Depending upon the condition of the pinch weld you may have to supplement the butyl tape with urethane windshield sealer to compensate for any leaks that you cannot seal. This will ensure that you are wind noise and leak free. You would apply any supplemental sealer to the area of the pinch weld that is covered by the chrome windshield reveal trim. This way no one will ever know you added any sealer as it will appear as factory.
