Every solid I've ever used in a BB Mopar went like this: install it with a cold setting on lash. Drive it around a few hundred miles. Reset the lash one time. It never moves again. You can recheck it all you want. It never moves again. No big deal.
If something suddenly moves very much, that usually means you broke it and it's time to take it apart for a look.
If the noise is a huge problem why not tighten up the lash a bit?
