That Schumacher style Torque Strap goes a long way toward making motor mounts last- and it is easy to fabricate yourself. If you look at the pictures of their mount, the mounting bracket on the bottom doesn't have to have that dogleg in it (or might, depending on some sway bar applications), and it doesn't have to have the joint at the top. Mine that I built several years ago for about $15 bolts right to an existing hole on the head using an old fender brace mated to 5/8 all-thread on the bottom, uses strut rod rubber bushings off the parts store shelf, and a flat 1/4" plate on the bottom across the k-member. You can barely tell it's there and it's like having 2 motor mounts on the drivers side...
