Hi all,

I've finally started working on my '66 Coronet project. I've begun going through the rear brakes, and figured while I have it all apart, I may as well replace the bearings. According to the P.O., the car had been sitting since about 1978. I have no idea what shape they're currently in, but they don't look like they've been submerged. Unfortunately, my parts guy can no longer get some of the parts. Also, I know some people on this board say the "Green" bearings shouldn't be used on a street car. Although this car won't be a daily driver, I do plan to drive it a lot (but not race it). My question is: should I replace the bearings now, while everything is apart? Or just re-pack them, and wait for something to start making noise before worrying about replacing? As always, all opinions appreciated, thanks.

Roger
