How bad is the angle from the spring to the hanger? Is it like this / looking from the drivers side at the rear of the leaf spring with the top being behind the spring eye or like this with \ with the spring eye behind the top of the upper shackle? if like the first one you need to fix it, if so can you have someone make another set of upper shackles and extend the front of it two or three inches and redrill the bolt hole so the shackle is pointed forward at a 45 or more degrees ?This picture is of my Dart with the springs move in, you want a angle similar to this so it will lift the rear of the car under acceleration and push the tire into the ground
